Today we read from Matthew 27, a curious and somewhat bizarre passage in the Bible. In this text, Matthew describes Jesus’s trial, crucifixion, and resurrection. Now, we are all familiar with this topic, but did you know Matthew also described the general resurrection?
What are we to make of a general resurrection, in which tombs were open and a number of people who were buried rose up and appeared to many?
